I haven't really done anything lately that's worthy of putting up, other than this one. I started it Tuesday before art history started. I'm particularly proud of how it came out actually. I owe credit to the artist who turned me on to the technique I used for laying this out. Mat Haley, in Wizard Comics "How to Draw":"Character Creation" book Mr. Haley demonstrates how by the way the drawing tool is held, can determine how stiff or loose a drawing will look when drawing the body. As things turn out, it's the same drawing technique we are taught in Drawing I! The "loose sketch grip" where it is different in having the pencil not in the "writing" position for drawing but loosely held with all 4 fingers and braced by the artists thumb to the index finger under the hand. Makes for very loose and quick flowing movement!

To the piece itself and what it reflects. Yes it's Batman yes he's angry but, I truly identify with this character now and the loss he went through. No I do not plan on becoming a vigilante like Batman because of what happened to my brother, nor do I have the monetary funds Mr. Wayne has. But my heart at this time of my life is filled with a nearly inconsolable rage much like the character Batman. Not sure if I plan on coloring this or not. I may offer someone the opportunity to do so if they like.
